About CVTemplates

CVTemplates helps UK applicants turn their experience into a clear, editable CV. The library is organised around career situations, from a first job to an academic application.

What you can use

Each of our seven templates has a complete fictional example, a Word download, a PDF reference and advice for adapting the structure. You can also edit a CV in your browser, arrange its sections and export your work.

All current templates and tools are free. Downloads have no email gate, account requirement or payment step.

Examples, not credentials

The people, employers, projects and achievements in our sample CVs are fictional. They illustrate how to describe evidence. Replace them with accurate details from your own experience; do not use a sample achievement as your own.

Our writing guidance draws on UK careers resources including the National Careers Service and Prospects. It is general help, not a review of your individual qualifications or a promise of an interview. Read how we make and check the templates.

Your details stay with you

The editor works in your browser and does not send your CV to us or to an AI service. Save a local draft before leaving the page. Our privacy page explains the difference between local editing and contacting the site.
