Model cover letter example
A model's cover letter usually goes to an agency or a client's casting team and stays short: who you are and your measurements, two or three recent bookings, the kind of work you are right for and why you are writing to them. Your pictures and CV do the rest.
Fictional letter from Jasmine Kaur, the applicant in the model cv example. Every person and employer in it is invented.
Why each paragraph is there
I am a fashion and commercial model based in London, 5ft 10in with a dress size 8, and I am writing to ask whether your commercial division would consider representing me for advertising and television work.
Who you are, the key details and what you are asking for.
This year I walked 22 looks in Marlow & Finch's autumn/winter show and shot a six-page knitwear story for Kestrel Quarterly. I also shoot about 60 looks a day for the Fernbrook online store, so I am used to long days and quick direction.
Recent bookings, each with the client, and what they show.
Last year I had a featured role with one line in a national advert for Kettleby Broadband, and I enjoyed working to camera. I would like to do more television and campaign work, which is where your commercial models are booked most.
The work you want, and why this agency fits it.
My CV and current digitals are attached, and my measurements match them. I am happy to come in to meet you or to send a short video. Thank you for your time.
