Cleaner cover letter example
A cleaner's cover letter should say where you have cleaned, show you use chemicals and equipment safely, prove you can be trusted to work alone with keys, and give the hours you can do. Four short paragraphs are enough.
Fictional letter from Maria Santos, the applicant in the cleaner cv example. Every person and employer in it is invented.
Why each paragraph is there
I am applying for the part-time early morning Cleaner post at Itchen Quay Business Centre. I have six years' experience cleaning offices and hospital wards, working alone and in small teams.
The post and hours, and where you have cleaned.
At Southgate General Hospital I clean two surgical wards to the hospital schedule and follow infection control procedures for isolation rooms, using colour-coded equipment and the right dilutions. I have COSHH training and use a scrubber dryer and a buffer.
Safe chemicals and infection control: the standards a facilities supervisor checks first.
For six years I have also cleaned two office buildings each evening for Brightway Cleaning Services, holding the keys and alarm codes for both and working to each building's checklist without supervision.
Keyholding and working alone, which prove you can be trusted.
I can work early mornings from Monday to Friday, and weekends if you need cover. My CV is attached. Thank you for considering my application.
Availability, the CV and thanks.
