Bartender cover letter example
A bartender or bar staff cover letter is short: how busy your bar gets, what you can make, the jobs you are trusted with, and when you can work. Bar managers often read it on a phone, so four brief paragraphs are enough.
Fictional letter from Kieran Docherty, the applicant in the bartender cv example. Every person and employer in it is invented.
Why each paragraph is there
I am applying for the Bar Supervisor role at The Ironworks. I have four years' experience behind the bar in a busy city-centre cocktail bar and a traditional pub.
The role and where you have worked.
At The Copper Still I serve up to 300 customers a night at weekends on a four-person bar, with drinks out in under three minutes. I make our 20-cocktail menu and develop two new serves each season with the bar manager.
How busy, how fast and what you can make.
I change kegs, clean the lines weekly and rotate stock in the cellar, and I cash up and close the bar as keyholder twice a week. When a customer has had too much, I refuse service calmly and bring in the door staff if needed.
The jobs a supervisor is trusted with, and responsible serving.
I can work late nights and weekends. My CV is attached, and I would be glad to work a trial shift. Thank you for your time.
Availability and the trial shift most bars ask for.
