Dear Mr Okafor
Trial request: central midfielder
I am a central midfielder playing for Ribble Vale FC in the Northern Premier League, and I am writing to ask for a trial with your first team. I came through a two-year scholarship at Lune Town FC’s academy, where I completed the Sporting Excellence Professional apprenticeship.
Last season I played 41 games as the deeper of two central midfielders, with 6 goals and 9 assists, and completed 86% of my passes in the club’s match data. I have been vice-captain since January, and my teammates voted me players’ player of the season.
I train on three evenings a week and follow a conditioning plan on the other days. After a hamstring tear in October 2024 I came back on the physio’s plan and have not missed a game through injury since.
Your side keeps the ball and builds from the back, which is how I play best. I am free for a trial on any midweek date and can send match clips if they would help. My CV is attached. Thank you for considering me.
Yours sincerely
Callum Brennan
