Paramedic cover letter example
A paramedic's cover letter confirms registration and driving first, then shows clinical judgement through your caseload and the decisions you make, and ends with why this service. NHS ambulance trusts often ask for supporting information in their own form instead: the same paragraphs work there, written against the person specification.

Dear Mr Davies
Application for Paramedic (Urgent Care Rotation)
I am applying for the Paramedic post with the urgent care rotation at Wyeside Ambulance Service. I am an HCPC-registered paramedic with three years on a frontline emergency ambulance at Severnside Ambulance Service, and I hold a full driving licence with C1.
I attend 8 to 12 calls on a 12-hour shift as lead clinician, from cardiac arrests and strokes to falls and breathing difficulty. On urgent calls I decide with the patient, their GP or our clinical hub whether hospital is the right place; about a third of the patients I see on those calls are treated at home or referred to other care, and I record each decision in the electronic patient record.
The urgent care rotation would let me build on that work with more time on assessment and referral. I also mentor two student paramedics a year and would like to keep doing so with your students.
My CV is attached. I can start after one month's notice. Thank you for considering my application.
Yours sincerely
Bethan Rees
