I am applying for the Lead Electrical Engineer post at Corringham Renewables. I have seven years in power systems, five of them designing low voltage and 11 kV systems for solar farms and battery storage at Peakline Energy Engineering, and I have been an Incorporated Engineer with the IET since 2024.
I have designed the LV and 11 kV systems for 14 solar farms and 6 battery storage sites, from 5 to 49.9 MW. I draw the single-line diagrams and cable schedules in AutoCAD Electrical, size cables and protection in ETAP, and check every design against BS 7671 and the network operator’s connection requirements.
I also estimate cost and programme for our tenders and witness the factory and site tests of switchgear and transformers. Leading the design team on your sites that put solar and storage together is the step I want to take next.
