Dear Ms Lamerton
Application for Senior Small Animal Vet
I am applying for the Senior Small Animal Vet post at Haldon Veterinary Hospital. I have six years in first-opinion practice, I am registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and I am working towards the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in small animal surgery.
At Exe Valley Veterinary Practice I see about 20 consultations a day and run the surgery list two days a week, from neutering to exploratory laparotomies. I take and read our X-rays and ultrasound, run the in-house blood tests and refer complex cases with a full history.
On surgery days I supervise two veterinary nurses and a student vet. Your hospital’s surgical caseload is where I want to keep building the skills I am developing for my CertAVP.
My CV is attached, and I would be glad to come in for a working interview. Thank you for considering my application.
Yours sincerely
Sarah Jennings
