Infographic CV template

An infographic CV with your three or four strongest numbers in boxes under your name, and a side column for skills and tools.

Every figure is real text, so it copies, prints and reads aloud in order, and there are no rating bars or charts. It suits jobs where results are counted and the CV goes to a person.

Before you use it

An infographic CV suits marketing, sales, events and social media jobs where results are counted and you send the CV to a person. Law firms, banks and public sector employers usually expect a quieter page, so choose Professional or Classic for those. Whenever an employer asks you to upload your CV to an online form, send the Plain version, which holds the same words.

How to use this template

01

Choose figures you can explain

Put a number in a box only if you could talk it through at interview: where it came from, the period it covers and what you did to move it. Round honestly and say what it counts.

02

Three or four boxes, no more

Four figures read at a glance; eight turn into a chart nobody reads. Pick the ones that match the job advert and leave the rest to your work history.

03

Skip rating bars and star scores

A bar that says Excel is 80% gives an employer nothing to check, and the skill disappears for anyone whose software cannot read the graphic. Name the tool and what you did with it, as the side column here does.

04

Send the Plain version to online forms

Every word here is real text, but boxes and columns can come out in the wrong order when an application system copies a CV into its own fields. Greenhouse, one of those systems, lists tables, columns and graphics among the reasons a CV fails to read. Upload the Plain version to forms, and send this one by email or on paper.

If the employer asks for a particular file type, a page limit or an application form, do what they ask, even where this page suggests otherwise. CV format and file types explains the choices.
