Dental nurse CV example

A dental nurse CV should show your GDC registration, the treatments you support at the chair, how you keep instruments and surgeries safe, and any extra qualifications such as radiography or oral health education. Practice managers also look for calm, kind patient care, so show it with one example.

How to write yours

01

Put GDC registration in the header

Practices cannot employ an unregistered qualified dental nurse. Make it the first thing they see.

02

List the treatments

Naming the treatments you support shows your range better than “chairside assisting”.

03

Add extra qualifications

Radiography, impression taking or oral health education each widen what you can do; give them with the year.

04

Show patient care

Practices value nurses who calm anxious patients. One line saying how you do it is enough.

Checks and qualifications to mention

  • GDC registration. You'll need to register with the General Dental Council (National Careers Service). Give the year and keep your registration current.
  • Enhanced DBS check. The National Careers Service lists enhanced background checks for this job.
  • Trainee? If you are training, say which qualification you are studying and when you expect to register.
