How to write yours

01

Lead with a result

Cost per sale, leads or traffic changes are how marketing is judged. Give one in your first bullet.

02

Say how big the budget was

A monthly budget figure tells a hiring manager what level of spend you are trusted with.

03

Name the channels and tools

Search, social, email and SEO are different skills. Keep tools in their own list so they are easy to find.

04

Credit the team fairly

Say when you worked with an agency or colleague; interviewers ask what your part was.

Checks and qualifications to mention

  • Degree or experience. Many marketing executives have a degree, but experience and certifications such as Google Ads also count. Give both if you have them.
  • Portfolio. A link to campaigns or writing samples helps; check you are allowed to share them.
  • Figures. Use results you could explain and that your employer would be happy to see published.
