Checks for a civil engineer's CV

  • Professional body. The National Careers Service points to the Institution of Civil Engineers. Give your membership grade and whether you are working towards incorporated or chartered status.
  • Scheme values. Values are usually public for public schemes; for private clients, give the type and size instead if the value is confidential.
  • Site safety cards. If you go on site, give any card or passport your employer requires.

Two pages are normal once you have several schemes; keep the biggest scheme and your current role on page one.
