How to write yours

01

Registration and setting first

Your GPhC registration and whether you work in community, hospital or a GP practice answer the first two questions.

02

Give the volume

Items a month and consultations a week show the pace you work at.

03

Show safety

Near-miss reviews and controlled drugs records show you keep patients safe, which matters most for a manager.

04

Name the services

List the clinical services you run; employers often recruit to keep a service going.

Rules and checks for a pharmacist's CV

  • Registration. You need to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (National Careers Service). Put your registration and its year in your qualifications; employers check the register.
  • Training route. The National Careers Service gives a four-year MPharm approved by the GPhC, then a one-year foundation training programme. Give both with their years.
  • Patient details. Describe your work without anything that could identify a patient.

One or two pages both work; keep registration, setting and volume on the first half of page one.
